However, royal expert Daniela Elser just observed via the News that King Charles can no longer hide his secret about Kate Middleton.

For years, Princess Kate secretly has played a key role in helping the monarchy progress. And close behind the Princess of Wales, Princess Anne, Queen Camilla and Sophie the Duchess of Edinburgh offer similar supportive roles in veiled secrecy.

However, the news that Kate faces a lengthy hospitalization and even longer recovery period after abdominal surgery means that the secret has become exposed. And the Princess of Wales will spend two weeks at the private London Clinic. But after that stay, she will return home for a recovery period of three months.

King Charles Feels Prince Harry’s Exit

As a result, the royal family’s dependence on Princess Kate becomes clear. And King Charles faces a challenge in trying to do the impossible: Fill in for her with current royal family members. But he feels his son Prince Harry’s exit all the more.

“Kate’s health crisis has revealed just how dependent Buckingham Palace is on her to make the nation swoon over royalty and how reliant their brand has become on her charm and the mythical quality she brings,” observed royal expert Daniela Elser. “And with Kate gone, at least for a bit, the Palace now finds itself in some dire straits.

The royal family is now facing a trial by blandness, of the actual blood members of the outfit struggling to in any way hold the nation’s interest, making it even harder for them to regularly demonstrate just how pluckily they are working for the UK.”

Meanwhile, Prince Harry just got a chance to show his sympathy for his ailing sister-in-law Kate. And King Charles also has experienced some health concerns. As a result, some thought that the Duke of Sussex would use a recent speech to wish them both well.

Prince Harry Sparks Backlash

However, instead, Harry sparked a backlash for making jokes and completely snubbing his father and sister-in law. And critics labeled the Duke of Sussex as “horrible and disrespectful” for “cracking jokes” in a “deliberate snub” to Kate and King Charles, per the Sun.

For four minutes, Harry spoke at a Hollywood event. And he made no mention of his father King Charles’ operation or Princess Kate’s surgery. Instead, he focused on joking and trying to charm the crowd. And royal biographer Angela Levin pointed out that Harry “just needed to say one sentence. I actually think it’s horrible and disrespectful that he didn’t.”
