Catherine Heartbroken As Her Children SCARED About Her Hospitalization Longer Than Expected

Kate Middleton has always emphasized the importance of early childhood education and development. And this clearly includes the education and upbringing of her own three children.

While the princess is currently recovering in the hospital from her previously unannounced abdominal surgery, Princess Catherine doesn’t want her children—Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5—to be affected in any negative way.

In a statement released by Kensington Palace yesterday, the Princess of Wales, 42, detailed how she wants her kids to keep calm and carry on (aka keep attending school and living their lives like normal) despite her being in the hospital. One specific line from the statement read, “She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible.”

As we said before, Catherine believes that the early years of a child’s life play a crucial role in their development and how they transition into adulthood. And in this case, she is applying this important cause to her own three children. As they are in the middle of the academic school year, the princess probably doesn’t want them to be distracted or interrupted from their studies.

The Princess of Wales also explained how she wishes to keep her “personal medical information” private as well. On one final note, Kensington Palace shared, “The Princess of Wales wishes to apologize to all those concerned for the fact that she has to postpone her upcoming engagements. She looks forward to reinstating as many as possible, as soon as possible.”

Every mother wants the best for her kids and clearly Princess Catherine is no exception.

“The surgery was successful and it is expected that she will remain in hospital for 10 to 14 days, before returning home to continue her recovery,” Kensington Palace said in its own Jan. 17 statement. “Based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter.”

During this time, her husband Prince William has postponed several official work engagements and instead focused on helping with the couple’s children Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, amid Kate’s recovery.

The focus remains on providing the necessary support while respecting the princess’s wish for privacy during her healing process. Adding to the air of uncertainty surrounding the situation, the London Clinic known for its world class medical facilities and staff has been a preferred choice for members of the royal family seeking medical attention.
