King Charles has shown his support for daughter-in-law Princess Kate as she continues her stay in a London hospital.

As reported by People, the monarch paid a visit to the Princess of Wales at The London Clinic in the British capital’s Marylebone neighborhood, as he was being admitted to the same hospital for his own scheduled surgery.

The King arrived with wife Queen Camilla ahead of his treatment for an enlarged prostate.

Catherine is currently recovering in hospital from last week’s “planned abdominal surgery,” though Kensington Palace opted not to share details of her exact diagnosis. While her long recovery period—she’s not expected to resume royal engagements until after Easter—unfortunately points to a serious condition, we do know that her surgery was not related to cancer. Royal fans are obviously concerned for the Princess’ welfare, but knowing this has certainly helped limit people’s worry.

Just hours after the Palace revealed that Kate had undergone surgery, Buckingham Palace released a statement announcing that the King was due to be treated in hospital for an enlarged prostate sometime this week.

Amid these health concerns, a source told The Sun, “The Queen has told him he needs to slow down a bit.”

In an awful turn of events, Charles and Kate are not the only royals who have shared adverse health news over the last few days. Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, announced earlier this week that she had been diagnosed with skin cancer, which came just months after she was successfully treated for breast cancer.

Wishing all three royals a prompt and full recovery at this difficult time.

King Charles III is seeing Kate Middleton through recovery.

Ahead of undergoing a routine procedure for an enlarged prostate at London Clinic, NBC News confirmed the monarch made a visit to his daughter-in-law, who is recovering from abdominal surgery in the same hospital.

“The King was this morning admitted to a London hospital for scheduled treatment,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement to NBC News Jan. 26. “His Majesty would like to thank all those who have sent their good wishes over the past week and is delighted to learn that his diagnosis is having a positive impact on public health awareness.”

The Palace announced Charles, 75, would be undergoing the procedure on Jan. 17, just hours after Kensington Palace shared that Kate, 42, had been hospitalized the day prior and was recovering from abdominal surgery.

But while Charles will be able to return to his normal duties shortly after undergoing his treatment, with Buckingham Palace’s Jan. 17 statement noting, “The King’s public engagements will be postponed for a short period of recuperation,” Kate’s recovery period will be a bit longer.

More than a week after undergoing abdominal surgery, Kate Middleton was paid a special visit by her father-in-law King Charles. According to People, the monarch checked in on the Princess of Wales on Friday, ahead of his own procedure at the same hospital for an enlarged prostate.

This morning, Buckingham Palace confirmed that Charles had been admitted to the London Clinic for his “scheduled treatment” and he was photographed arriving earlier with his wife, Queen Camilla.

Unlike Kate, who kept her surgery a secret, Charles shared his diagnosis with the public ahead of his treatment to encourage other men to get checked. “In common with thousands of men each year, The King has sought treatment for an enlarged prostate,” Buckingham Palace previously announced in a statement. “His Majesty’s condition is benign, and he will attend hospital next week for a corrective procedure.” The Palace also noted that Charles’s public engagements will be “postponed for a short period of time.”
