Prince William and Princess Kate Reflect on an Epic 2023 With Montage of Sweet Family-Filled Moments

With 2023 just a day away from its close, the Prince and Princess of Wales took some time to reflect on and commemorate an eventful year.
Prince William and Princess Kate shared a video montage to Instagram on Friday that includes images and clips from various personal and professional occasions over the past 12 months. They posted the speedy collage to Harry Styles’s pop hit “As It Was.”
The reel opens with a behind-the-scenes look of the Wales Family from King Charles’ coronation, as they descend a staircase in their ceremonial clothes with the text “This was 2023” layered overtop.
The delightful video highlighted the royal couple’s love by including shots of Princess Kate and Prince William exchanging loving glances at the 2023 BAFTAs, attending King Charles III’s state banquet, wearing big smiles while riding mountain bikes, walking through a lush green courtyard, and having a laugh in a local pub as the prince pulled a pint.
In addition to showcasing Princess Kate’s incredible style, the montage shined a light on her speech at a Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood conference and Shaping Us Symposium, her presentation of the Wimbledon trophies, her surprise piano performance at Eurovision, and her debut at Trooping the Colour. Also included, was Prince William’s many royal engagements, including his international travels and his speech at a United for Wildlife conference.
Among the charming moments, were sweet photos spotlighting the Wales kids, including Prince Louis’ adorable fifth birthday portrait, Prince George’s all-grown-up 10th birthday snap, and Princess Charlotte’s lovely eighth birthday flick. The children enjoyed some mom time in an image of the four sitting in a tree, along with some dad-bonding in a previously unseen image from Father’s Day. In the snap, Prince William puts his arms around his eldest two kids while Prince Louis sits on his lap, all coordinating in blue.
The post wraps up with festive shots from Princess Kate’s Royal Carols: Together at Christmas, the Christmas church service at Sandringham, and the royal family’s gorgeous black-and-white holiday card.
The royal couple kept their caption short and sweet, writing, “2023 ✅ Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our year.” They also tagged The Royal Family and their various initiatives and organizations, including United for Wildlife, The Earthshot Prize, The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, and Homewards
Only time will tell what’s to come for the Wales Family in 2024.
