NEW ROYAL PHOTO! THE PRINCE AND PRINCESS OF WALES SHARED ANOTHER PICTURE!

The Prince and Princess of Wales unveiled a traditional Christmas card. This time the portrait of the family turned out to be black and white.

With each year, festive photos of the family of the future king of the United Kingdom attract more and more attention. This time, the colour of the photo, sneakers and the incredibly grown up children of Prince William and Princess Catherine are in the centre of discussions.

The Christmas greeting from the younger members of the royal family is waited for with bated breath by millions of Britons every year. When they see a new photo, the Prince and Princess of Wales’ followers start scrutinising it, as everyone is very interested to know how the royal family members turned out in the new photo.

The postcard shows the whole family: William, Prince of Wales; Catherine, Princess of Wales; ten-year-old Prince George, eight-year-old Princess Charlotte and five-year-old Prince Louis. They dressed up in paired looks: white shirts and dark trousers.

William and Catherine’s only daughter sat down on a beautiful chair in the foreground, her younger brother leaned on that chair, and mum and dad and eldest son perched behind. They all looked into the lens, smiling touchingly and incredibly happily.

“Our family Christmas card in 2023,” the Princess of Wales succinctly commented on the photo. Fans of the royal family immediately began discussing the family portrait. Here are some of the comments: “Incredible photo, how fast the kids are growing up!”, “I remember the moments when they were just born. You have adorable kids, really,” the comments wrote.

The one that caught the attention of many was Charlotte. The girl visibly matured: this effect was also enhanced by long loose hair. On this occasion, commenters on social network also expressed themselves: “Charlotte has turned into a copy of Elizabeth II!”, “Very beautiful little princess, so much changed”, “What a beautiful daughter, like Elizabeth in her youth,” – noted in the network.

The classic black-and-white portrait-style shot is a departure from the usual postcards of William and Catherine. They have a well-established tradition of sharing full-colour photos taken outdoors.

The Prince and Princess of Wales’ family’s lifestyle look gets simpler and simpler every year – William and Catherine try their best to emphasise that they are an ordinary family, for whom the most important thing is the health and well-being of their loved ones. Sneakers, jeans, shirts with button-down collars (Prince Louis is wearing shorts) – no strict images and no reminders that the photo shows the future king of Great Britain and his family. In a word, absolutely anyone can repeat this image.

Last year, Prince William and Princess Kate surprised fans with their most casual Christmas card to date. The sweet snap was taken by Matt Porteous in 2022 in Norfolk and showed the family holding hands during a sunny stroll. The Prince and Princess of Wales are known to spend school breaks, weekends and holidays with their children at Anmer Hall, their country home in Norfolk, and it’s where Kate is said to feel most at home.

The picture showed the family of five holding hands, all dressed casually for a sunny stroll. Prince William and Princess Kate matched in jeans, while George, Charlotte and Louis wore shorts and sneakers.

The royal couple chose a previously unseen photo showing them posed with their kids during a private family trip to Jordan for their 2021 Christmas greeting. In 2020 and 2018, the family chose photos taken outside at Anmer Hall.

On Dec. 8, the family stepped out for Princess Kate’s third annual Together At Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey. The evening of entertainment marked the third iteration of the concert Kate spearheaded to spotlight individuals and organizations across the U.K. who supported their communities through the COVID pandemic in 2021.

The theme of Together At Christmas has shifted slightly every year since, and the latest service was linked to the Shaping Us campaign from The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood which Kate launched in June 2021.

On Christmas Day, Prince William, Princess Kate, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are expected to step out for the traditional walk to church at Sandringham. Each Christmas, the royal family goes to St. Mary Magdalene church for holiday mass, after which they greet well-wishers. They then head back to Sandringham House to enjoy a traditional turkey holiday feast.

The 2022 walk was significant as the first of King Charles’ reign, and he did the honors of leading the charge with Queen Camilla. It was also sweet for another reason — Prince Louis’ Christmas walk debut!
