The wife of William, Prince of Wales, broached the subject while talking to famed Chinese virtuoso pianist Lang Lang at the Royal Variety Performance at the Royal Albert Hall.

The Princess of Wales attended the event along with Prince William, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden, who had earlier arrived on a visit to the United Kingdom. Catherine wore a gorgeous cape dress, which was praised by fans of the royal family.

The Princess of Wales once told her daughter that if she studies hard, she can play the piano as well as pianist Lang Lang.

The interest in music that seems to be inherent in the royal family has also been passed on to Princess Charlotte and her brother ten-year-old Prince George. They were seen with the royal family in the front row at the coronation concert.

Princess Charlotte sweetly sang along to Katy Perry’s ‘Roar’ from her seat in the royal box, and new comments from her mum about her piano practice hinted at a hobby they both share. There may be a future star of the music scene growing up in the royal family.

The Princess of Wales herself has been playing the piano since childhood and has already showcased her talent twice in the past two years. Catherine developed a passion for music while at school – she also played the flute and sang in the choir.
