Cheeky William Mentioned Baby No.4 as See Catherine Tenderly Cradles Newborn During Surprise Visit

‘You going to try tonight?’ Kate and William red-faced as fan questions baby no.4 chances

Kate, the Princess of Wales and Prince William were bluntly asked whether they were “going to try tonight” after the Princess of Wales warmly cradled a baby during their one-day visit to Northern Ireland.

The Prince and Princess of Wales were caught off-guard after one royal fan cheekily asked whether the couple were trying for another baby. The incredible exchange, which was later shared online, took place while Kate cradled a baby during a visit to Carrickfergus during a one-day visit to the province. The couple already have three children – Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4.

The couple were left red-faced when one royal fan asked about the chances of baby number four, sending social media into a frenzy over the footage.

A clip of the exchange began when a fan asks Kate whether she “wants to nurse” as she offers to hand the royal a baby.

Kate immediately smiles at William and responds: “I would love it!”

William adds: “More and more babies, she loves to cuddle.”

When Kate tells the baby he is “so sweet,” William agrees: “He is very, very sweet.”

At this point, one royal fan pops the question and asks: “Are you going to try tonight?”

Both William and Kate immediately laugh at the question.

The Prince of Wales seems to respond: “Yes exactly, that’s how it ends.”

One royal fan account on Twitter @cambridgepower called it “one of the best moments of the visit to Northern Ireland today”.

Many viewers joked that William appeared more reluctant than Kate when it came to the question of another baby.

@LadyF83431206 posted: “William is like, ‘Oh god, not this again? Kate! Step away from the baby!'”

@Royals_borough added: “William’s face. I can’t.”

The responses echo the Princess of Wales, who once admitted that William “worries” about her meeting babies in case it leads to plans for baby number four.

During a trip to Denmark in February this year, her first solo royal tour, Kate met with parents and their babies during a visit to the University of Copenhagen.

At the time, she said: “It makes me very broody. William always worries about me meeting under 1-year-olds.

“I come home saying, ‘Let’s have another one.’ ”

Earlier this week, during a visit to Royal Surrey County Hospital on Wednesday, the Princess of Wales recalled that “it feels like yesterday” when Prince Louis was a baby.

She told one mum: “I keep thinking Louis is a baby, but he’s a big boy now. It just feels like yesterday.
