Her announcement came on the heels of wild speculation about her health, with some tawdry individuals suggesting that Kate was dead. In fact, she had a planned abdominal surgery in January and tests results taken at that time revealed the presence of cancer.

According to the outlet, King Charles’ condition is an “open secret” among the staff at Buckingham Palace: “Many courtiers believe Charles’ cancer is worse than they’re making it out to be. Even before the diagnosis, there were concerns about his health.”
